Adult RolePlaying DataBase
ARPDB is a website designed to help adult roleplayers share their characters, kinks, images and texts, and connect with each other. It is made by a roleplayer for roleplayers.
ARPDB accepts all kinds of roleplaying and characters: simple sexting, detailed story drivern roleplaying with erotic elements, smut-heavy roleplay, cyberfighting, DnD, humans, creatures, monsters, anthros, furries, and anything else that can fall under the umbrella of fictional adult roleplaying.
When creating a character, by default it is assumed you are creating a profile for a fictional roleplay character, unless otherwise stated.
It is designed to be a platform that embraces the diversity of roleplaying communities and chat systems, and instead of providing you with yet another roleplaying platform, it tries to bridge the gap and bring all these communities closer together. A single place for people to keep their character profiles, kinks, image references, various texts (for example their own dice rules) and use them across different platforms. People use different platforms for roleplaying - Discord, Reddit, F-List, ChatFighters, Wolfery, and many more, and all of them have their own unique features and capabilities, but they are scatterred.

Semantic profile similarity scoring
ARPDB uses a unique semantic profile similarity scoring system to match characters based on their interests, availability, and other profile information.
One of the most intelligent features of this system is using a semantic matching of Kinks\Interests, meaning that instead of simple word similarity matching, it understands the meaning of the interests and their descriptions. This allows for matching and searching characters by interests even without using explicit tagging and supports custom interests and kinks just as well as standard pre-defined ones. There's practically no downside to using custom interests and kinks over standard ones.
In fact I am not even sure if ARPDB needs such an extensive list of standard interests and kinks, and I might shrink it down in favor of users relying more on explicitly typing out their own custom kinks the way they want.

Plans
ARPDB is currently still in development, and I have many... let's call them ideas. Because I don't yet want to commit to all of them, and I want to see what the community wants and needs.
- Planned improvements:
- Core feature improvements and bug fixing
- UI\UX polishing (UI style and ease of use)
- REST API - allow external applications to interact with ARPDB to create integrations, scripts, automation, etc.
- More filters and better search
- Better availability visualisation and comparison
- Availability matching
- Some kind of internal messaging system. Not a chat, but a way to communicate for those who dont want to give out other contact information before a chance to talk.
