ARPDB is a set of tools for text roleplaying, providing character or personal roleplaying profile management with links to roleplaying chat systems, text uploads with markdown/bbcode support, and image upload capabilities, all in one place.
The developer of ARPDB is a roleplayer who has been active in ERP communities for many years, and in all these years I was always looking for a platform like this, but never found one. A platform that embraces the diversity of roleplaying communities and chat systems. A platform that provides comfortable way to manage, sort and securily share your images and text content. A single place for people to keep their character profiles and use them across different platforms. People use different platforms for roleplaying - Discord, Reddit, F-List, ChatFighters, Wolfery, and many more, and all of them have their own unique features and capabilities, but they are scatterred. Keeping your character profiles in sync across all of them is a challenge, especially since many of them use different markup formats. ARPDB is a platform that tries to provide a single place for your character profiles, kinks and roleplaying content.
What it is not
ARPDB is not a forum or a chat system itself (not yet anyway). It is not trying to compete or replace any of the existing platforms, but a platform that provides tools that are missing, and provides them in a single place, tuned for roleplaying tasks.

Star feature: Semantic profile similarity scoring
ARPDB uses a unique semantic profile similarity scoring system to match characters based on their interests, availability, and other profile information.
One of the most intelligent features of this system is using a semantic matching of Kinks\Interests, meaning that instead of simple word similarity matching, it understands the meaning of the interests and their descriptions. This allows for matching and searching characters by interests even without using explicit tagging and supports custom interests and kinks just as well as standard pre-defined ones. There's practically no downside to using custom interests and kinks over standard ones.
In fact I am not even sure if ARPDB needs such an extensive list of standard interests and kinks, and I might shrink it down in favor of users relying more on explicitly typing out their own custom kinks the way they want.

Plans
ARPDB is currently still in development, and I have many... let's call them ideas. Because I don't yet want to commit to all of them, and I want to see what the community wants and needs.

- REST API - allow external applications to interact with ARPDB to create integrations, scripts, automation, etc.

- Profile AI templates - ask AI to generate a profile template with your specifications
- AI Bots - I currently have a Wreckbot system operating on Chatfighters and F-List, and I'd like to have a place to chat with them outside of those platforms as well, with better UI
